Storyline Online is MY FAVORITE site that is free to children, preteens, and teens. Just click on the read aloud video and follow along! If you click All Books, there is a BUY THIS BOOK link which is for buying a paper copy of the item. All videos are free.

Free Stories for Children is a reading site with free and original stories for kids.The videos are animated but the text to the book is found below the video for the child to follow along. Choose books by age level all the way through middle level novels.

International Children's Digital Library is an amazing site with stories and books from around the world. The site translates to Spanish, French, and other languages. Read a-louds are not available but the site is great for quiet, independent reading time or free time for those who love to read at anytime.
UDLIB Search from University of Delaware, is the best FREE informational database for students to explore people, places, and things around the world. The databases will read a loud as the child follows along or students may read on their own. Games, images, videos, and sounds are also included.

National Geographic Young Explorers is an informative site for K-3 grade kids who love reading nonfiction. Magazine format is used. Kids can listen and follow along as the info is read.
Code.org Hour of Code is the best and most popular FREE Coding site for kids, preteens, and teens. Coding is computer programming and Code.org teaches the basics for kids through fun, engaging, step by step activities. Activities can be sorted by age level, skill level, and types of coding activities.
Epic Books is for all age levels. It is free to teachers. Click on STUDENT and then enter my class code and1846. Click on one of the FDES student general student accounts number 1-9. Kids will then be able to access all books for free! Parents can also sign their child/children up for FREE for 30 days!
